The Insanity of Our Sanity

“I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation. War is hell.”

William Tecumseh Sherman

images (4)War is truly hell and violence is sadistic, yet we gorge ourselves with a pathetic appetite for more and more. We read books about it and spend hard earned money to indulge our hearts in hardcore evil, and pain, and suffering of our fellow human souls. We praise the destruction of enemies and care not a wit about those who we don’t know. We worship combat bravery and train our children in the art of human destruction with toys of devastation: guns, knives, and bombs that prophecy a future occupation or event. We do all of this on film, TV screens, and plastic play things never imagining the evil that lurks at our doorstep to claim a prepared sacrifice to the demon of death.

It is all just a game we play until that day arrives and restitution is demanded, a payment in blood, in pain, and endless suffering and confusion. We did it all with our eyes wide open and now force ourselves to believe it was for righteousness and peace. It is a lie that we must now compel our brains to believe and live with lest our heart explode and grief push us to the brink of suicide where truth is realized, but too late. Wracking pain is our only reward.

What have human creatures become? We have embraced evil and rejected our Savior. We have sold our inheritance for a cheap bowl of potage, Saturday Night Live, Netflix, and The Evening News, instead of the Good News. God help us! What have we become but insane animals in a world gone mad!!??

“The LORD is King forever and ever; the nations perish from his land. O LORD, You hear the desire of the afflicted; You will strengthen their heart; you will incline Your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that the man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.” (Psalm 10:16-18).

I looked online at the grave markers in the cemetery at Arlington and every one that I could see for as far as I could see had a Cross on it signifying that our military is a Christian military. Then, I read Jeremiah 6:13-15 about men who claim to speak for God who were false prophets. The Churchs in America are filled with these false prophets who tell their congregations, who are walking in the flesh, “relax, God has ordained Donald Trump to fix the problem” but God says,

“From the least of them to the greatest, all are greedy for gain. From prophet to priest, all practice deceit. They have dressed the wound of My people with very little care, saying, ‘Peace, peace,’ when there is no peace at all. Were they ashamed of the abomination they committed? No, they were not at all ashamed; they did not even know how to blush. So they will fall among the fallen; when I punish them, they will collapse,” says the LORD.…”
